Professional Growth Goal Reflection:
My goal this year was to create lessons that are purposeful and provide the specific accommodations that my students need to succeed. I believe that I have made substantial progress towards this goal and have been able to plan meaningful and appropriate lessons across all content areas. This year I was able to plan lessons that incorporate more than one content area and create weekly learning units that are more comprehensive and cohesive.
When comparing my Inital and Final CSTP results, I have found that my top area of strength CSTP 6, has remained constant. I have developed as a Professional Educator and continue to reflect on my teaching practice. The areas that I can still grow in are CSTP 1 and 4. I have continued to collaborate with general education and other special day class teachers to gather insight into various instructional strategies and resources. This a goal that I plan to continue to work on past induction. Through collaborative efforts I will continue to grow and sustain an engaging teaching style.
My adivce for new teachers is to have fun and continue to be a life long learner. Your love for learning will motivate your students!
